Grads Give Back
High school graduation is a special event in every person's life but Jason Ray used this special time to give back. Jason donated a part of his graduation gifts to Project Sunshine to help those who "don't come home".

Other "grads", whether it be from 8th grade, high school, or college graduation, can help the less fortunate by suggesting donations be made to Project Sunshine. Outgoing class humanitarian projects (see Russian Update, Most Holy Redeemer 8th graders) to help Project Sunshine not only unites classmates with a common cause but increases awareness of the need to help the other children of the world.

Holy Redeemer
This past May, most Holy Redeemer 8th graders hosted a fundraiser for the Vladimir orphanage as a service project. One of the 8th graders was adopted from Vladimir and the children worked together to raise over five hundred dollars ($500.00) from a bake sale and an "Out of Uniform Day". We are grateful to these children for their dedicated efforts to help.

AWANA
AWANA, "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed", is an international club for young people at the Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Pennsylvania. Two of their club members were adopted from a Russian orphanage and expressed a desire to help the orphans. At the club fair event, the club members and leaders sold items to benefit the children in the orphanages. These young adults followed the words of the Bible in caring for the orphans.

Cookies to Coins to Kazakhstan Update
The Kunkel family and friends from Pennsylvania raised money for Kazakhstan at a bake sale in 2008 (Project Sunshine Newsletter Summer, 2008). This year they continued using their culinary skills to benefit the children in Kazakhstan by raising additional money!
